Our Hotel
Up until the year of 1988 a shopping mall was contemplated to be built as a commercial project, a building which now happens to be the Hotel Paraiso del Desierto. By the fact of having a high range of visitors in Puerto Peñasco, an agreement was settled in order to take a better advantage of the property by building a hotel.
In that same year the building construction started to take place which lasted 2 years long. By the year of 1990 the hotel opened its doors featuring only 59 guestrooms, which back then offered the basic services such as: water, electricity, TV and air conditioning, plus making distinction of the fact that guestrooms were double and the maximum capacity was for 236 guests.
By 1993 an investment was made in order to build its first swimming pool as a part the hotel services. Also with the wish of complementing the services, a restaurant bar was inaugurated in the year of 1994.
The growth that we have experienced the last years is only the result of the great enthusiasm that visitors have determined to enjoy from, in a place were they find an excellent weather, a bright sun and ocean only a few minutes from the hotel. Along the service quality, beauty and comfort finding a diversity of choices to enjoy from the most exquisite dishes from the highest traditional Mexican cuisine and International also, to taste our specialty and exclusive pastry NIEVE FRITA (fried ice), among others.
After 8 years of inaugurating the Paraiso del Desierto´s second face, a new section of guestrooms, a swimming pool, a parking lot and a reception were built; as well as the idea of coming up with the option of changing the hotel name and image, giving as a result the hotel that nowadays we offer to all its guests that visit Puerto Peñasco “Rocky Point”.
